Factors Influencing the Acceptability of Intra-Articular Corticosteroid Injections among Pakistani Patients with Arthritis

Objective: Toassesspatients' awareness andattitude towardsintra-articulartherapy.Todetermine the frequency of refusal among patients who were offered intra-articularsteroid injections and to identify variousreasons for this refusal. Method: This was a cross-sectional study done at Rheumatology CMH Lahore outpatient clinic from 1st June 31st July 2022. A total 204 16 years or above potential candidates intraarticular corticosteroids (IACS) had received in past asked about their knowledge, beliefs, consent intra-articular as per pre-defined questionnaire. Results: Out patients, 34% refused get injection. Their major concern fear injection, dependence, only temporary pain relief.
